Our Company

Oceangate Entertainment was started in 1995 in Ireland as a "property acquisition" company. The company operated out of Los Angeles, California and acquired scripts (property) to be developed by other, larger companies.

Our Team

The company is led by Andrew Ptashnik. Mr. Ptashnik has worked as a commercial pilot, served as an Investment Analyst, and has headed up an import/ export business. He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University. He currently works from an Oceangate Entertainment office in Budapest, Hungary.

D.J. McCoy is Vice President at Oceangate Entertainment. He has spent over eight years as a photographer in portraiture, commercial, and nature work. Mr. McCoy has a Wall Street background as a stockbroker and market maker for regional banks. He has passed the Series 7 and Investment Advisor's Law Exams. He directed "World Famous Trains," "Hitchin' A Ride Through History," and the trailer for "I Saw Your Mother Crying." He now dedicates his full time and effort to this company. Mr. McCoy is directing the currently titled "Land of Liberty," a documentary on homelessness.

Ryan Hardy is the VP of Production. Mr. Hardy has worked in aviation sales and marketing. He graduated from Shepherd University with a BA, majoring in psychology. Mr. Hardy is currently serving as producer on "Land of Liberty."
